Privacy Policy

The short version

We collect the minimum needed to sell you a book and deliver it: your email address and your payment details. Payment details go to Stripe, not to us. We never sell your data.

What we collect, and why

• Email address: collected at checkout, used to send your payment receipt and to reach you about your order and, only if you tick the consent box at checkout, to send occasional emails about your book and future editions. Legal bases: performance of a contract (your order) and consent (marketing).
• Payment information: collected and processed entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
• Anonymous usage statistics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless tool, to count page visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies and does not identify you personally. Alongside it, to count visits and sales per page, the shop and delivery pages keep a random visitor id in your browser's local storage: it is not a cookie, no IP address is stored, and it is never shared with any third party.
• Basic technical data: our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to serve the website securely.

Marketing emails

You only receive marketing emails if you opted in at checkout. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is immediate and permanent. Transactional emails, such as your payment receipt, are sent regardless, because they are part of your order.

How long we keep data

Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing consent is kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see your rights below); we will do so except where the law requires us to keep records.

Who we share data with

Only service providers needed to run the store: Stripe (payments and receipts), our website host (Vercel), and (if you opted into emails) our email service provider. Each processes data under their own GDPR-compliant terms. We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email ebookhelp.support@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Malta, that is the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idpc.org.mt).
